Clwyd Powys Archaeological Trust HER report of Motte and bailey reads 'Remains of sub rectangular enclosure on N facing slope. Bank and ditch visible S and E. scarp 0.5m high W. hint of two platforms inside enclosure. Situation looks non-defensive.'

A sub-circular enclosure, about 136m by 162m, defined by a bank and ditch, generally reduced to a single scarp. (Coflein)

Gatehouse Comments

Scheduled and otherwise recorded as Iron Age defended enclosure. Hint of two platforms inside enclosure. Medieval use can not be excluded but seems unlikely as a castle and certainly not a motte.
