Gatehouse Comments

Nothing on map but slight circular cropmark on aerial photo just south of the late C16 Pen-y-clawdd House. It is likely there was a medieval precursor house and the placename - ditched enclosure - suggests some defences but the actual date and nature of any ring ditch requires further investigation.
