Recorded in Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust online HER of medieval castle without detail. Spurgeon rejects this as a castle site. He gives a clear history of the manor being a monastic grange and the site possibly that of grange buildings. A C18 house was raised on this site and the castle name, and story of antiquity, date from that time.
