Site of possible castle or tumulus. Documents are unclear as precise siting is not known. Possibly site is prn 102323 but see also prn 102326 for finds made in area. There was evidently a mound on Bryn-y-Castell at one time, but no trace due to quarrying (Davies 1949, 218). Davies was referring to reports by Lhuyd and other antiquarian sources which were vague in describing location and nature of site. Seems likely that this is a duplicate of PRN 102323. Gatehouse Comments

Low hilltop site and site of limekiln and round barrow. Probably castle name attached to round barrow but limekiln suggest building of some form.
