Ellergill, a 2-storey 17th century rubble-walled and slate roofed house, has been rebuilt but incorporates a Medieval doorway with shouldered head (RCHME).

Possibly on the site of a 14th century hall house (Perriam and Robinson 1998). (PastScape)

Possible hall site.

Dubious case; only included because of reused material. (Perriam and Robinson 1998)

Gatehouse Comments

It is not improbably there was a medieval farmstead here but nothing to suggest that was a high status or defensible house.
