Gatehouse Comments

Marked as Castle Farm on modern OS map although the actual farmhouse, marked on the 1887 map is now gone. Location most unlikely as site of a medieval fortification. Possibly a farmstead taking its name from later fanciful ideas about isolated castles on hilltops.
