It has been suggested that an oval ringwork formed by a bank, scarp, broad shallow ditch, and on the more open south-east aspect, a low counterscarp bank, is situated on the north-western edge of Priory Park. However, there is insufficient evidence to see these features curving round to form an oval, or that a defensive ringwork is visible, as such an enclosure would be too small to be defensible.
