The Bishop of Landalph his Inne. Then was there an house belonging to the Bishop of Landaffe, for I find in record the 4. of Edwarde the 2. that a vacant place lying neare the church of our Lady at Strand, the sayde Bishop procured it of Thomas Earle of Lancaster for the enlarging of this house. (Stow)

Granted to bishops of Llandaff in 1280 by canons of the Holy Sepulchre, Warwick. Enlarged 1311 by addition of land near St Mary le Strand. Stowe placed it with the church to the east & Strand Bridge & Chester Inn to the west. It was demolished to make way for Somerset House. (Greater London HER)

Site later occupied by Somerset Place, along with Inns of bishop of Lichfield and Worcester.
