Listed as an intact peel by Harvey and said to be 'on the Westmoreland frontier' but King writes nothing known.

Gatehouse Comments

Possibly another name for some other Lancashire (or Westmorland) tower although not an obvious alternative spelling or typographic error for any known tower or castle. No Heslop place-name in OS 1:50000 gazetteer.
