Mound in field, 1200yds W of church, irregular shape, being segmental on the N & W side, but poss cut away to the E during the making of the roadway. Rises 4' above the surrounding ground & 7' above the road. In the same field are 2 irreg sinkings. (RCHME)

Unsurveyable traces of mound reduced & spread by ploughing. Nearby a shallow ploughed over depression. Site suitable for barrow. Depression prob old stone pit, (OS Record Card). (Herefordshire Through Time)

Gatehouse Comments

On end of shallow ridge overlooking crossing of minor stream. A building marked Tretire Court stands near to site, does this imply a possible high status site?
